Most hedges are best cut between late spring and early autumn when growth is active but nesting season is over. We generally avoid cutting between March and the end of July to protect nesting birds as required by law. We will advise the best timing for your specific hedge type.
Yes. We have the equipment to safely tackle tall hedges and severely overgrown growth. For very tall hedges we carry appropriate ladders and extended reach tools. We will assess the job first and let you know exactly what is involved.
Yes, all cuttings are removed as part of our service. We bag up all trimmings and take them away so your garden is left clean and tidy with nothing for you to deal with afterwards.
Most garden hedges benefit from one to two cuts per year. Fast-growing species like leylandii may need more frequent attention. Formal box hedging is typically cut two or three times during the growing season. We will advise based on your specific hedges after a free visit.
